Thanks to our customers, Dike & Son has been able to give cash boosts to dozens of local groups and charities through the Nisa Making A Difference Locally charity fund.
When shoppers choose Co-op own label produce, it triggers a payment into a virtual fund for retailers to donate. It may only be pennies but it soon adds up – and since the scheme launched in 2008 we've topped £100,000 in donations!
Recently, Dike & Son has given windfalls to Abbey 104 Community Radio, Stalbridge Primary School and Stalbridge History Society alongside contributions to sports teams Templecombe Rovers FC and North Dorset U13 Boys Football.
In an interview on the Nisa website, Andy Dike said: “We are so proud to have reached £100,000 in donations through our long-standing relationship with Nisa’s Making a Difference Locally charity. We truly have community at the heart of what we do and working with MADL gives us the opportunity to build up a fund to distribute back into the community. Our work with MADL has supported thousands of people in Dorset and it is so important we continue that work moving forward.”
If you would like to nominate a local good cause, sports club, school, community group or charity to receive help from the MADL charity fund for a particular project you are currently trying to raise money for, please write to adam@dikeandson.co.uk with details.
