Dike & Son is a family-run independent supermarket and cafe based in Stalbridge, north Dorset. We have a function catering division, Dike’s Kitchen, and we offer a full online grocery shopping service with local delivery at www.dikeandson.co.uk

Upon creating an account on our website, www.dikeandson.co.uk, you have the option to opt in for newsletters by email. You can amend your account details, including your name, address, phone number or email address in the My Account section on our website. There is also an option in the My Account section to Unsubscribe from our Newsletter if you should no longer wish to receive updates. You can also unsubscribe by clicking the link at the bottom of any of the newsletter emails we send you.
Upon joining our Loyalty Card Club, you will be asked whether you want opt in to our mailing list or SMS texts. If you opt in you will receive information from us that may include company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include an unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email or you can email info@dikeandson.co.uk to request to be unsubscribed.
How Your Data is Stored, and Data Security
Client data is held on our database to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered between you and us. The data is stored electronically on our secure web servers and is backed up remotely. The servers are protected using security software and firewalls. Hard copies of customer orders are stored within a locked cabinet and shredded when the order is fulfilled.
We limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know such data. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
Your data and any associated client data is never passed on unduly to anyone outside of Dike & Son Ltd.
Data Retention
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
By law we must keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for six years after they cease being customers for tax purposes. After this time, it will be securely deleted from our systems. Any paper records are shredded when no longer required.
