Our Store
Dike & Son is one of the largest independent supermarkets in the West Country. Our modern, airy superstore, deli and in-store cafe are situated in Stalbridge, north Dorset, with free customer parking. We offer a complete online shopping service for local delivery – and we also post UK-wide. Dike's Kitchen is our catering division, offering freshly made quality food for your event, as well as bar hire. We're open 8am-8pm Monday to Saturday, 10am-4pm Sunday.
Our facilities
Our light airy store has wide aisles and plenty of tills to ensure a smooth shopping experience. We offer free parking for up to 100 cars, a free-to-use cash machine, customer toilets, free in-store WiFi, carry out to car service. Our in-store licensed Cafe serves breakfasts, lunches and Dorset cream teas, all home-made, using locally-sourced produce where possible.
Our Café
William's Café is named after Andy Dike's father. We're open for coffee and locally-baked cakes, our legendary home-cooked hearty breakfasts and traditional lunches, as well as home-made soup and lighter bites such as toasties and salads. Our Café is open from 8am-4pm Monday to Saturday (closed Sunday). Last orders for hot food at 2.30pm.
Our Deli counter
Did you know we stock over 150 varieties of cheese? A quarter of these are locally sourced by our knowledgeable deli team. We also make cheese boards to order, to suit every budget and taste. Call us on 01963 362204 to order yours!
As well as cheeses, we have locally cured chorizo and Dorset Nduja, olives, cold meats, local Scotch eggs and faggots, our own gammon ham and home-made quiches and desserts. Next to the counter is our speciality section where you'll find it hard to choose from an array of local preserves, chutneys, hot sauces and salad dressings, including nuts and yes, more olives than you could ever nibble on.
Event Catering & Bar hire
We've been feeding the folk of the Blackmore Vale and beyond for well over 150 years, so you can trust us to look after your guests! Dike's Kitchen can cater for your wedding, wake, party, barbecue or village hall event, with a menu options to suit all dietary requirements and budgets – as well as lots of bar hire options. We offer free glass hire and a full refund on any unused drink (terms apply).
